Transforming a Fragmented Sales Process Into a Streamlined Dynamics 365 Workflow

Redcentric is a UK managed service provider supporting organisations across cloud, connectivity, cyber security and collaboration. The organisation wanted to reduce the manual effort involved in managing circuit orders while keeping Microsoft Dynamics 365 at the centre of its operational workflows.

TrueNorth IT was brought in to design and deliver an integration that automated the process end-to-end and could scale as supplier requirements changed.

The Challenge

Circuit ordering relied on manual steps, duplicated data entry and limited visibility across systems.

From a delivery perspective, the challenge was to integrate Strategic Imperatives’ Fibre Café platform into Dynamics 365 Sales in a way that simplified the user experience, handled telecom-specific complexity and remained secure and reliable in production.

The solution also needed to support future suppliers without requiring a redesign.

The Solution

TrueNorth IT worked closely with Redcentric and Strategic Imperatives, delivering the integration through short, iterative sprints.

Fibre Café was integrated into Dynamics 365 Sales using an Azure-based architecture. This allowed ordering and status updates to be handled directly within Dynamics, while managing API complexity behind the scenes.

Regular demonstrations and shared design reviews ensured progress was visible and risks were addressed early.

The integration delivered a fully automated circuit ordering process inside Dynamics 365:

  • Manual data entry removed
  • Order updates surfaced directly in application
  • A single integration framework ready to support additional suppliers.

Redcentric’s teams now work from a single system with clearer visibility and fewer interruptions.

Looking ahead, this project shows how Dynamics 365 can support operational automation when paired with a clear integration strategy. For TrueNorth IT, it reflects our focus on delivery and on building solutions that work in live environments, not just in design documents.
